In connection with the unfortunate passing of Mara D’Asra Rabbi Aharon Yaacov Schwei we are republishing the first “Chag HaSmicha” Rabbinical Ordination Ceremony of the Chabad Yeshiva in Montreal took place in December of 1955. Friends of the Yeshiva published the pictures of the soon-to-be Rabbis in the Canadian Jewish Chronicle, a few days before the ceremony.
