We regret to inform you of the passing of R’ Zelig Silberstein, member of Antwerp, Belgium’s Chabad community. He passed away today, Tuesday, 9 Iyar.
He was 56 years old.
Yehoshua Zelig Silberstein was the son of Rabbi Shmuel Meir and Batsheva Silberstein, founders of the Chabad community in Antwerp. He was the grandson of Reb Moshe Zalman Kaminetzky of Klimovich.
He is survived by his siblings: Mrs. Risha Slavatici – Antwerp, Rabbi Eli Silberstein – Ithaca, NY, and Mrs. Masha Vogel – Rochester, NY.
The Levaya will be held today in Antwerp and then in Israel, where he will be buried in Har Hazeisim.
