Shmulik Yankovitz: Niggun For 12 Tammuz

Niggun For 12 Tammuz by the chassidishe musician Shmulik Yankovitz. We bring you this niggun as well as others that Shmulik Yankovitz produced, in his niggun project series • Listen

Nigun 12 -13 Tammuz is a melody composed by the Chassid R. Aharon Kharitonov who was a Schochet, bodek and a musician in honor of the Redemption on the thirteenth of Tammuz, a day on which the Rebbe was released from prison for his sacred work With real devotion, for teaching Torah and strengthening Judaism in Soviet Russia.
The movements of the melody express a yearning for Hashem and his Torah and with it, the fearless validity of Emuna, against all that prevents and hinders the ways of the Torah and the mitzvah with real devotion.
It is said that Rabbi Aharon composed the melody even before the redemption of the Freidiker Rebbe, because of his confidence that the Rebbe must have been set free.

These are very nicely recorded niggunim, but maybe take out the background beats? They are so soulful and connecting and I love them, but the beats really ruin the contemplative, striving atmosphere.
