Costco members across the United States can now have purchases delivered from their local warehouse through DoorDash and Uber Eats, following nationwide expansions announced in September.
DoorDash announced its new partnership with Costco on September 17, allowing customers to order from warehouses nationwide through its app. The service includes groceries, pantry staples, household essentials, electronics, seasonal merchandise and Kirkland Signature products, with more than 4,000 products available to shop through the platform.
The launch expands an existing relationship between Costco and DoorDash in several international markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland and Puerto Rico.
Uber Eats also expanded its Costco delivery service nationwide earlier that week, increasing its coverage from 17 states to 47 states. Customers can browse products through the Uber Eats app and choose from available delivery options.
Both services require Costco members to link an active membership to their delivery account. Customers who are not yet members can purchase a membership through Costco before placing an eligible order.
Costco has offered delivery through Instacart for nearly a decade, and the new expansions give members additional ways to shop without visiting a warehouse in person.
The moves reflect growing competition among delivery platforms to expand beyond restaurant orders and become a destination for everyday shopping. DoorDash said Costco had been among the most-searched retailers not yet available on its U.S. marketplace, pointing to strong customer demand for the partnership.
Costco’s appeal to Jewish shoppers extends beyond its bulk prices. Many warehouses carry a range of kosher products, while locations serving large Jewish communities may offer specialty items such as Cholov Yisroel cheese and Glatt Kosher meat. Ahead of Pesach, some locations also stock Shmurah Matzah and other holiday essentials.
Availability varies by warehouse and season. With delivery now offered through DoorDash and Uber Eats, Jewish shoppers may be able to order some of these products directly to their homes, depending on what their local Costco carries and what is listed on the delivery apps. For frum families, the expansion could provide another convenient option for stocking up on kosher staples and preparing for Shabbos and Yom Tov.
