Following reports of missionary activity targeting Jewish residents in Petach Tikvah, Yad L’Achim activists launched a special operation to warn residents and drive the missionaries from the area. The activists also visited homes exposed to the activity, bringing the residents the Daled Minim for Sukkos and Hoshaanos for Hoshana Rabbah • Full Story
In recent weeks, Yad L’Achim’s emergency hotline received reports of increased activity by missionaries from the group known as “Witnesses of J..,” who were going door to door distributing religious literature in an effort to convert Jews. Activists were dispatched to the affected neighborhoods, where they confronted the group and worked to bring its activity to an end.
The organization also circulated an urgent warning through neighborhood groups, urging residents to remain alert, avoid accepting materials from unfamiliar individuals, and speak with their children about the activity. The warning helped raise awareness among local residents.
But Yad L’Achim’s response extended beyond warning the public. Activists visited the homes of residents who had encountered the missionaries, offering support and strengthening their connection to their Jewish heritage.
In preparation for Sukkos, they brought the residents the Daled Minim, helping them celebrate the Yom Tov with joy and renewed connection to Jewish tradition. During the Yom Tov, the activists returned with Hosha’anos branches for Hoshana Rabbah.
