Rabbi Zalman Duchman, a representative of Colel Chabad, flew from New York to Eretz Yisroel specifically to visit and encourage Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Rabbi Dr. Yechiel Leiter, following the terrorist attack in which his son, Neria Dov, was injured
During the visit, Rabbi Duchman told the ambassador that he had come directly from the Ohel, where he had offered a special prayer for his son’s complete recovery — Neria Dov ben Chana. “All of Chabad is praying for your son for a complete recovery,” he said
Ambassador Leiter, who has been familiar with the extensive work of Kollel Chabad for many years, was deeply moved by the gesture. “My first stop upon returning to the United States will once again be the Ohel,” Rabbi Zalman said
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Leiter asked Rabbi Duchman to convey warm regards to his father, Rabbi Shalom Duchman, director of Kollel Chabad, with whom he maintains a close relationship
