Hundreds of Anash and Yerushalayim residents gathered for the Central Chai Elul Farbrengen in Yerushalayim, organized by Tzeirei Agudas Chabad of Jerusalem, marking the birthdays of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe.
The guest of honor was Knesset Member Simcha Rothman, who participated in the farbrengen and spoke about his connection to Chabad. Responding to the introduction of him as a great friend of Chabad, Rothman declared: “I’m not just a friend of Chabad—I’m a Chabadnik. I’m a graduate of Gan Yisrael.”
Rothman also praised the Rebbe’s Shluchim around the world and their devoted work on behalf of the Jewish people, and wished the participants and all of Klal Yisroel a kesivah v’chasimah tovah and a year of blessing.
The evening also featured a moving presentation by Rabbi Herzl Kossashvili, who shared his personal story, along with lively singing and music by Chassidic singer and keyboardist R’ Chaim Nachman Bensamian. The farbrengen continued late into the night in an atmosphere of Chassidishe inspiration and joy.
