An IDF operational activity conducted last week led to the elimination of Abd Harb, a senior Hezbollah terrorist who served as commander of the organization’s engineering unit.
According to an IDF spokesperson, Harb oversaw the professional infrastructure responsible for the assembly and activation of explosive devices intended to target IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon.
The IDF stated that Harb was a long-standing and senior figure within Hezbollah, with responsibility for numerous terror plots against Israeli forces over the years, including activities dating back to the Second Lebanon War and continuing up to the present conflict.
Military officials emphasized that his unit played a central role in developing and deploying explosive devices used against IDF troops during ongoing operations in southern Lebanon.
In a parallel development, Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out a targeted strike yesterday, destroying a rocket launcher used by Hezbollah terrorists to fire rockets at IDF forces. According to the military, the launcher was completely neutralized in the attack.
