One person was murdered and five others were wounded Sunday morning in a terror shooting attack that unfolded across several locations in the Sharon region.

The attack began at a gas station near Kochav Yair, where a gunman opened fire, wounding multiple civilians. Within minutes, additional shooting incidents were reported in Tzur Yitzhak, Tzur Natan, and along Route 5533, prompting a major response by police, Magen David Adom, and security forces.

MDA teams treated victims at multiple scenes. Among the wounded were several people in serious condition, while others sustained moderate injuries. One victim succumbed to his wounds after being critically injured in the attack.

MDA paramedic Lior Zilberberg described the chaotic scenes:

“We received reports of casualties at several different locations. At the gas station near Kochav Yair, we treated a man in serious condition and another in moderate condition. At Tzur Yitzhak, we treated an additional victim suffering from gunshot wounds. At another scene on Route 5533, we treated a critically wounded man and another victim in serious condition.”

Large numbers of police officers, IDF troops, and other security personnel were deployed to the area as residents were instructed to remain indoors and schools were temporarily placed under lockdown.

Following an extensive manhunt, security forces located and neutralized the terrorist. Police later identified the attacker as a 21-year-old Israeli Arab from Tayibe. Authorities also arrested an additional suspect as part of the ongoing investigation.

The attack drew widespread condemnation from Israeli leaders, who expressed condolences to the victim’s family and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.

The terror attack serves as another painful reminder of the ongoing threats facing civilians throughout the country. We continue to pray for the safety and protection of all our brethren in Eretz Yisroel, trusting in Hashem’s constant watch over His people. May we merit the day when all threats and suffering will come to an end with the coming of Moshiach, now!
