Residents of Kfar Chabad were alarmed overnight after bursts of gunfire were heard coming from nearby orchards, raising concern across the community. Several residents went out toward the area, accompanied by police forces who arrived following multiple emergency calls.
In response, Sdot Dan Regional Council head David Yifrach addressed the situation, noting that similar reports of gunfire, as well as recent incidents of break-ins and vehicle theft, have been reported in recent days.
He emphasized that all incidents are being handled in coordination with the Israel Police and that he remains in direct contact with senior law enforcement officials. “This issue is at the top of our priority list until a full response is achieved and a sense of security is restored,” he said.
Local authorities stressed that the incidents are being treated seriously and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity as efforts continue to strengthen security in the area.
