Camp Yeka’s winter camp for boys, which has warmed the souls of over a hundred campers from across Ukraine, has come to close. Its staff consider this year’s winter program a smashing success.

Located in the scenic Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Ukraine, twenty counselors from the US, Israel, Great Britain and Ukraine made it so that every boy felt warmth, joy and care at every moment, and the time spent in the camp was bright, eventful and very interesting for each of them.

“All the children in the Yeka winter camp were taken on a colorful horse-drawn sleigh, because the grounds are located in the mountains,” said Menachem Mendel Borodkin, director of the camp, “so the camp began like a winter fairy tale.”

The camp program was fun and energy packed, requiring the children to have a lot of energy. The boys ate five balanced meals a day (in the morning – a cocoa club and breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner), so that everyone had enough strength and energy for their daily activities.

The camp, which is almost entirely crowd funded by the counselors themselves, provides each boy who steps in their doors a unique and meaningful Jewish experience that lasts him a lifetime.

Graduates of Camp Yeka can be found in Anash communities from Tzfas to Crown Heights, some serving as Shluchim of the Rebbe MH”M in various parts of the globe.
