Shortly after the conclusion of this years Kinus Hashluchim Haolami, another young couple moved out on Shlichus, this time to the Southeast African country of Namibia.

Rabbi Yosef and Mrs. Mushka Rahimi moved to the country, which is situated just north of South Africa on Africa’s Atlantic coast, to serve the local Jewish population, as well as tourists and business-people who frequent the desert nation.

Upon arrival in the country’s capital Windhoek, the couple immediately rented a large space, slated to be the headquarters of Chabad activities, furnishing it with everything they need.

Namibia boasts about 100 Jewish families, with hundreds more Jewish tourists and business-people who travel there throughout the year.

The Republic of Namibia is a country known for its beautiful desert landscape and contains a population of just over 2.5 million people.
