By 500. Could such awesomeness even be possible?

For just these 24 hours only, we have that power. Endless bracha at our fingertips. And, yes, it’s online right here. Just forty days before Rosh Hashana, it is a time of auspicious blessing. A time when we hold the key―and the more we open our hearts, the more brochos we create in our own lives, and in the world.

Every Chof Av, the day the mekubal, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson a’h, passed away, the Rebbe made a mogbis in honor of his father’s yahrtzeit. He said, “Donate on this day honor of my father who devoted his entire life to strengthening yiddishkeit.”

The Rebbe (sicha of Chof Menachem Av 5739) even used unusual terminology, saying: “Every person should give according to the pure generosity of his heart and add to what he decided to give, not a little bit but a lot, a lot … Surely Hashem will increase His measure … to 500 times that amount!”

When the Rebbe concluded this rare promise to the blessing of “500 times that more” for donors, he began singing, “V’Harikosi Lochem Bracha Ad Bli Dai.”

    Right now, the appeal continues.

Chabad centers throughout Kazakhstan have united to further the work of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak in a country which has been home to tremendous mesirus nefesh over the last two and a half centuries.

Today, the mesirus nefes of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak and Rebbetzin Chana lives and breathes in the everyday sacrifices of the shluchim of Kazakhstan who continue to spread the teachings of chasidus in a barren land.

Although we are separated by land and sea, we are united in purpose, to keep the flames of chasidus burning bright in all times and places. Our communities have all experienced hardships in 2020. There is no better time than now to be a keli for bracha.

The more you can give – “not a little bit but a lot, a lot” – in these hours of Chof Av l’ilui Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, the more bracha you will welcome into your life. Donate now and get bracha at your home. Click here to send brachos and names into the Ohel of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak.
