A group of bochurim learning in Postville Yeshiva embarked on a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park. They stayed the night in Boulder, Colorado, spending time and farbrenging with the local Shluchim.

The morning after their arrival, they had planned to explore the park and do several activities. As they were running out to pile into their van, they had realized that the van’s door was broken, requiring an immediate repair.

While some boys went to take care of the van, some stayed behind in the Chabad House. At some point, a bochur spotted two people passing by the shliach’s house and decided to ask them if they were Jewish.  They answered in the affirmative, and the bochurim proceeded to do what any chossid of the Rebbe MH”M would do, put Tefillin on with them.

As they started to unravel their Tefillin they came to understand that neither of the two Jews had ever put Tefillin on in their lives! The bochurim were ecstatic at the sheer hashgocho protis they had just experienced while waiting for the broken van.

After another separate mivtzoim occasion, the bochurim realized that they had traveled all the way to Colorado not just to have fun, but to continue the Rebbe’s work of lighting up neshamos, one by one.
