Rabbi Yitzchak Yehudah Yeruslavsky, the Av Beis Din of the Beis Din of Chabad Rabbonim in Eretz Yisroel, and the Ashkenazi Rav of Kiryat Malachi, designated his son Rabbi Zalman Yeruslavsky in his place on the Beis Din.

Rabbi Yitzchak Yehudah Yeruslavsky, the Av Beis Din of the Beis Din of Chabad Rabbonim in Eretz Yisroel, and the Ashkenazi Rav of Kiryat Malachi, designated his son Rabbi Zalman Yeruslavsky in his place on the powerful Beis Din.

Rabbi Zalman Yeruslavsky is the respected and revered Rov of the Chabad community of Elad, and is the head of the semicha program at Tomchei Temimim in Kiryat Gat.

The Beis Din was established by the Rebbe MH”M in 5736 as a single body that will connect all Rabbonim of the Chabad communities in Eretz Yisroel, in order to decide on halachic issues and general matters that are of importance to the Chabad community.

Current members of the Beis Din are Harav Yitzchok Yehuda Yaroslavsky, Av Beis din, (of Kiryat Malachi), Rabbi Avrohom Michoel Halperin (of Yerushalayim), Rabbi Yochanan Gurary (of Cholon), Harav Yosef Hecht (of Eilat), Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky (Rechovot), Harav Moshe Havlin (of Kiryat Gat) and Rabbi Yisroel Hendel (of Migdal Haemek).

The Beis Din would need to convene and vote on this decision.
