With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Yosef Kievman, OB”M, a longtime resident of Crown Heights, who passed away on Wednesday, 23 Sivan. He was 80 years old.
He was born in Russia, from there he fled to Samarkand. R’ Yosef studied in Samarkand, then in Pocking DP camp. From there his family moved to Eretz Yisroel. Later he moved to New York.
He is survived by his children, Chani Goldshmid – Crown Heights; Avraham Kievman – Melbourne, Australia; Menachem Dovid Kievman – Baltimore, MD; Raizy – Tel Aviv; Moshe Kievman – Highland Lakes, FL; Ari Kievman – Johannesburg, SA; Pinny Kievman – Crown Heights; and Yitzchok Kievman – Crown Heights.
He is also survived by his siblings, Sholom Ber of Crown Heights and Baruch of Crown Heights.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Tziporah Kievman, OB”M.
