    The Weekly Recipe: Delicious Sweet Cheese Babka

    Delicious Sweet Cheese Babka Ingredients:

    Dough:

    1. 2 ounces dry yeast (3 packages dry or 7 tsp.)
    2. 6 cups flour
    3. 3/4 cup sugar
    4. 11 ounces butter
    5. 2 cups warm milk
    6. pinch salt
    7. 2 eggs

    Filling:

    1. 16 ounces of farmer’s cheese
    2. 24 ounces cream cheese (2 -8 ounce bars & 1 – 8 ounce whipped)
    3. 5 scoops vanilla sugar
    4. 1 egg
    5. 1 yolk
    6. sugar to taste (1/4 cup to 1/2 cup)

    Topping:

    1. 1 stick butter
    2. 1 cup sugar
    3. 1 cup flour

    Directions:

    1. Warm milk in a pot.
    2. Take 1/2 cup of milk from the pot and put in a bowl with yeast and 1 Tbsp sugar- let bubble.
    3. Melt butter in the pot with the remaining milk.
    4. In mixer: mix flour, egg, salt, and sugar.
    5. add milk & butter and milk & yeast.
    6. Add extra flour as needed (about 1 cup).
    7. Let rise for 1 hour, divide into three.
    8. Roll into rectangle.
    9. Mix filling with hand mixer.
    10. Spread filling, roll up jelly roll style
    11. Brush with egg
    12. Sprinkle topping
    13. Pam large loaf pan.
    14. Place in loaf pan.
    15. Let rise another 45 minutes.
    16. Bake 350 for 45 minutes
