The Eshel-Hachnosas Orchim organization is busy these days. We are taking care of the needs of thousands of students, over a thousand girls, many Avrechim, young couples, and even a large group of children, all of whom have already arrived to the holy courtyards. Many thousands – mainly members of Anash – are expected to arrive for the Sukkot holiday during this Hakhel Year. For over fifty years (!) the largest Chabad charity in the world “Eshel-Hachnosas Orchim” has been providing each and every person with all their physical and spiritual needs, for the whole month, with endless giving and dedication.
The task of taking care of the needs of the many guests is complex and difficult. It is done with great dedication by a huge team of volunteers working in different departments, led by the spiritual department and the physical department. Alongside the study programs in the big Zal, there are two central kitchens and three huge dining rooms; and it would not be an exaggeration to say that there is no Chabad family that has not been helped by hosting guests in the last twenty years, at least in one of the many departments.
Who is paying the enormous cost of this massive enterprise?
Eshel is therefore turning to Anash worldwide, and especially to the community, for assistance.
The cost of hosting a guest for
1 day is $36
2 days – $72
5 days – $180
10 days – $360
The total amount for each guest’s stay over the month is $770
The Rebbe’s appreciation and personal concern for what he referred to as “my guests” is widely known.
The Rebbe supported this important organization
and it was just recently publicized that in the Hakhel year of 5748,
the Rebbe gave $10,000 to Eshel – Hachnosas Orchim.
The Rebbe, also, often laid the responsibility of hosting the guests on the local community.
Let’s step up and unite with family, friends, and neighbors, in support and care for the Rebbe’s guests, which will surely give much Nachas to the Rebbe and hasten his Hisgalus now!!
