The event marked 40 years since the historic Didan Notzach victory of Hei Teves. Rabbi Shalom Ber Shmulevitz, Shliach of the Rebbe to Beit She’an, served as MC and opened the gathering by speaking about the responsibility to take the strength gained in 770 and use it to bring about the complete Hisgalus, highlighting the significance of 40 years since Didan Notzach.
The first speaker, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Friedman, Shliach of the Rebbe to Or Yehuda, shared vivid memories of experiencing Didan Notzach in 770 during his year in Kvutza, encouraging the Bochurim to carry the energy and joy of that historic event throughout the coming year. Rabbi Yosef Garelik, Rav of the Anashei Lubavicth in Crown Heights, spoke about what a Bochur should take with him when leaving the Rebbe and shared the contents of a Yechidus he attended before going on Shlichus.
The program continued with a special presentation produced by Avo V’Areh, featuring a live interview with Rabbi Yisroel Noch Vogel, who recalled Simchas Torah as he experienced it during the years he was privileged to be in 770. Rabbi Yitzchok Axelrod, Rosh Yeshivas Bochurim HaTzeirim in Kfar Chabad, spoke about the feeling that the concealment surrounding the Rebbe’s presence had only begun a week or two ago, and emphasized the importance of Ahavas Yisroel and viewing every person through the lens of Geulah.
The final speaker, Rabbi Shimon Yehuda Pizem, CEO of Hisachdus HaChassidim Lubavitch, focused on practical action and the Rebbe’s demands, including learning the sichos of Dvar Malchus and strengthening Ahavas Yisroel. He also spoke about the significance of Hei Teves this year, expressing the hope that it will be celebrated together in the Beis Hamikdash.
