Rabbi Yossi Rodal, a Shliach in California, originally from Milan, produced a song, titled “Dry Tears.” In this song he shares some of his feeling over the past 12 years, ever since his life has been changed forever.
***
In 2006, after battling with cancer for six short months, my younger sister Reizi, passed away at the tender age of ten years old. I was twelve. To help me navigate the inner feelings of pain, I started writing and composing. I had a lot of questions.
Time doesn’t heal, it just dries your tears.
After 13 years, I went to therapy and I finally managed to confront my twelve-year-old self and let him know that it’s ok to accept that we don’t understand, that you will never heal if you’re looking to find a reason. You just can’t see it now.
A major step in healing is acceptance. It took me ten years to go visit my sister’s grave; I thought if I denied it, she wouldn’t die. But really, once I was able to let go, I gave her new life. I learned how humans are incredibly fragile, yet resilient. We all have traumas, but we make the choice to pick ourselves up. I learned the difference between having depression and being depressed.
Six months ago, my own Baby Reizi was born.
“Dry tears” is my story.
It’s the journey I still travel every day.
I hope that by sharing it, I can help you relate to your inner 12-year-old, and tell them that you are allowed to start healing.

In honor of the month of Tishrei, when thousands of guests come to spend this special time of the year with the Rebbe, a new song was just released describing the uniqueness of 770, and its relevance to us.
Credits:
Lyrics and music: Levi G.
Arrangements: Sruli Stock, Aron Siderov
Solo: Mordechai Cadaner
(T.T.T.O. Shir mizmor livnei korach)Although we’re now in Galus,
exiled far away,
the Shechina is still with us, in a
Mikdosh where Hashem does stay,
from there to the entire world,
the kedusha makes its way.they come from far and near,
Tishrei, every year,
the place to reflect,
to rejuvenate, and reconnect,
Thousands come to be –
here in 770.Beis Rabeinu Shebebavel,
here the Rebbe shows the way,
guiding and directing,
every part of our day,
Shechina lo zaza mimkoma
with the Rebbe now we stand,
Preparing for Geulah
Hand and hand.Very soon, it will come down
from heaven ready-made,
A Beis Hhamidosh, finally
The Shechina all displayed,
Together out of Golus
On the clouds in a parade
B’mheira Biyameinu, Amen!Suddenly we’ll skip a beat
We’ll see the Rebbe here,
The dream of Golus,
in a flash, will swiftly disappear
Marching out united all – with
770,
To the makom Beis Hamikdash Hashlishi. -
It started as a story how the Sforim of Lubavitch,
Were stolen from their natural home and true identity,
In contrast to what’s seen in any prior courts decisions,
The judge proclaims that they belong in 770For:
Hu Bachaim, Didan Notach,
So Zaro Bachaim, Didan Notzach,
The Rebbe, Chasidim and the Sforim are all one, Didan NotzachThe Rebbe’s relieved from a pain so strong,
Chasidim were dancing a whole week long,
Didan Notzach was more than a song,
It proclaims the Rebbe’s victory,
With confidence and certainty,
For all of eternity!……………….
In truth it is the story of the essence of Lubavitch,
The accusation dared to challenge the eternity,
Of a Rebbe’s life, his directives and his teachings,
World and heaven both agreed – proclaimed with clarityHu Bachaim, and he’s giving us Chayus,
So we are alive and we have the Achrayus,
To learn his Chasidus and devote our heart and soul,
To bring the Geula is our goalIn our day, as the Rebbe we can not see,
A challenge un-met in our history,
Yet DIDAN NOTZACH , it’s as clear as it can be,
The Rebbe and Lubavitch are alive and well, they’re here to stay,
Growing strong from day to day! -

The world’s first and only Chasidic American Folk band, Rogers Park, have released “Golden Crown” – the first song and video off their debut album which is due in stores later this year.
The title of the song is a reference to when the Jewish people declared at Mattan Torah “Naaseh V’Nishmah” – we will do, then we will hear. First we commit to doing, then we will listen and find the meaning. In return, every Jewish person was gifted 2 golden crowns.
Mattan Torah is likened to the marriage between Hashem and the Jewish people. It is also the model for all future marriages and relationships. The foundation of the relationship is commitment. Once there is commitment, it can allow for love and growth to happen. Even if there may be bumps along the way, the commitment keeps the relationship strong.
This theme is found in Elul when we begin to focus on Teshuvah – return. We turn to Hashem and ask him please help us return to who we really are! Our relationship is based on the commitment we made. We ask for Him, in turn, to look past any possible misdeeds and accept us based on that essential connection we have.
Kesivah Vachasimah Tovah!
To download the song: Rogers Park is running a campaign to gather the necessary funding in order to finish the work on their debut album. Contribute any amount here: ( http://jewcer.com/project/rogers-park-debut-album ) and instantly have the song emailed to you.
The duo is now on the final leg of their North America summer tour which has taken them through shows in Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and closing with 3 more in Ottawa, Canada in the coming weeks.
Lyrics:
Come my Love, to place where I will find,
Come my Love, where the Garden sets our mind.
Chorus:
On the Horizon where your eyes met mine,
You honor me with your Golden crown.
On the Horizon where your eyes met mine,
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
I am not a prophet nor of prophet’s blood,
still you welcome me, an honest earnings day.
You’ve opened all your inner doors,
that I may walk along with and secure
On the horizon with your eyes in mine
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
On the horizon with your eyes in mine
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
And I have given all I can,
like water is to water, beast is brought to land.
You’ve filled me like I’ve never known,
as if I never stood to fight alone.
On the horizon with your eyes in mine
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
On the horizon with your eyes in mine
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
And when you speak your kindly words,
you lift me up inside into your world,
And why was I the gifted one,
A tree that’s planted and grows with no help from the sun.
On the horizon with your eyes in mine,
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
On the horizon with your eyes in mine,
You honor me with your Golden Crown.
On the horizon and our heart is one
You honor me with like your only son.
On the horizon and our heart is one
I”ll honor you with this Golden Sound.
