A glimpse of the final snowy days of winter in the town of Lubavitch. Visitors continued to arrive throughout the winter, and even now the town welcomes guests from near and far. As winter comes to a close, Shliach Rabbi Gavriel Gordon is preparing the town for 13 Nissan, the 160th Yahrtzeit of the Tzemach Tzedek, and for the arrival of guests celebrating Pesach in Lubavitch • Photos
In a remarkable scene shared this week, Shliach of the Rebbe in Rostov, Rabbi Chaim Danziger, documented how Shluchim traveled to the historic town of Lubavitch and carved out a Mikvah in a frozen river so they could immerse, despite temperatures plunging to nearly minus 40 degrees. The river, which was used as a mikvah by Lubavitcher Chassidim for generations, had frozen over in the extreme winter conditions. The Shluchim broke through the thick ice, reviving a practice connected to the town that served as the heart of Chabad for many years • Watch
