Tens of bochurim who spent the last year toiling in Yoreh Deah with Iggud Talmidei Hakvutza’s smicha program celebrated their receipt of smicha with their dear teacher Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz in Crown Heights’s “Mozzarella” restaurant. The talmidim were tested by Rabbi Yusewitz, Rabbi Tuvia Kassimov, and Rabbi Shmuel Chaim Bluming, all respected halachic authorities in Crown Heights, who subsequently signed each of their certificates, which were distributed at the ceremony.
