Israel’s Chief Rabbi David Lau shlita spoke last night at a special gathering in honor of Rosh Chodesh Adar II in Dubai’s Chabad House. The Chief Rabbi is currently on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. Chabad of the UAE is under the auspices of Rabbi Levi Duchman.

Shliach to the United Arab Emirates, Rabbi Levi Duchman, lit a large public menorah at a special event at the World Expo 2020, currently taking place in Dubai.
700 Jewish students from the Former Soviet Union who travelled to Dubai as part of the Yahad young adult learning initiative, sat for a special presentation at the World Expo, currently being hosted in the city. Seated from left to right are Rabbi Levi Duchman, Shliach to the United Arab Emirates, famous Emirati developer Mohamed Alabbar, well known for developing the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Emirati Minister of Culture, Youth, and Social Development, and Russian Senior Shliach and Chief Rabbi Berl Lazar.
The Jewish Community of the UAE welcomed two new Sifrei Torah, generously donated by that Jaffa Family Foundation.
