Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the horrendous attacks of September 11, 2001 at the hands of ruthless terrorists. Almost immediately after the first plane hit the World Trade Center in Downtown Manhattan, Hatzalah ambulances rushed over from all of New York. Amongst them, many members from Crown Heights Hatzalah, who bravely worked to save lives as the buildings above them collapsed • Video

Amid the loss and confusion following the twin tower crash, Chaplain Jacob Goldstein undertook the mission of providing civilians and army personnel with the necessary recovery processes to overcome the unbelievable amount of trauma they’d encountered. Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky Director of Bris Avrohom, based in Hillside, NJ, together with Rabbi Avrohom Kanelsky Director of Chabad of Newark Airport, participated in a yearly ceremony held at Newark Airport, remembering those lost during the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001. At the ceremony, a new monument at the airport was dedicated, and Rabbi Avrohom sang the traditional ‘kel molei rachamim’. Rabbi Mordechai shared words of inspiration, encouraging those present to engage in positive action to remember the 3,000 people killed on that fateful day • Photos
