A few months ago, the Jewish judge, Frederick Block, heard the arguments of both parties and analyzed many documents that were presented by both sides to the court, before ruling that he is dismissing the suit, without any conditions, effectively handing a win to Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos, which will be allowed henceforth to use the Kehos logo.
The judge, in an opinion spread over nineteen pages, opened by reviewing the parties’ disagreement on using the title “Melech Hamoshiach” on the Rebbe, as well as other titles that denote a passing.
Last week, he came for a visit to 770, and the Rebbe’s library. Bochurim welcomed him and put on Tefillin with him, he was very happy. During his visit he also saw footage of the Rebbe encouraging the singing of ‘Yechi’.
We are very thankful to the famous lawyer of Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos, Mitchell C. Shapiro, Esq., Partner at CARTER LEDYARD & MILBURN LLP, who has succeeded to deliver the message of the Chassidim to the judge that the Rebbe and the Hora’os are still with us and relevant.
