Israel’s Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, Amichai Eliyahu, visited 770 on Tuesday night for Ma’ariv and joined a Siyum Harambam on Hilchos Bechoros.
During the Siyum Harambam, Rabbi Menachem Gerlitzky invited the Minister to speak and later presented him with a dollar from the Rebbe “for a sweet new year.”
The Heritage minister, who is currently visiting the United States, is a member of the right-wing Otzma Yehudit party, is the son of Tzfas Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, and grandson of Israel’s Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu z”l.
