    1. The morning after the difficult events at Beis Chayeinu – 770, it seems that every Yid, whether he is Frum or not, asks the same question: What is happening in Chabad? The photos and videos of the breaking of the wall and the action that followed, reached tens of millions (!) of views, and the Chilul Hashem caused is unprecedented. And if all this is not bad enough, the large Zal and the entire office building above it remain closed and locked. It’s shameful, what a disgrace.

On a morning like this, it is incumbent upon us to make a Cheshbon Hanefesh and ask ourselves how we got to this situation. How did we get to a situation where a group of wild Bochurim do whatever comes to mind, and no authority can control them! From the Rabbonim to the Gabboim of the Shul, and especially the Hanhala of the Yeshiva that they are enrolled in. How is it possible that wild Bochurim decide on their own that a wall needs to be demolished without getting permission from anyone, and cause complete destruction in the name of a heilige goal of the so-called “770 expansion”.

Unfortunately, this is not the first act of lawlessness, and it is in fact a cycle of behavior that has been going on for years, in which a number of wild Bochurim make decisions on their own, without accepting the rules put forth by the Rabbonim, Gabboim and Hanholas haYeshiva. They enforce their opinion on the conduct of things in 770 by force.

When there were Bochurim who raised their hands on others, the Rebbe called the Menahel of the yeshiva at the time, and ordered him to “send them to Bnei Brak.” This is the job of the Hanhola to make sure that the Bochurim registered there behave properly, and of course Bochurim who do whatever they want, have no place in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim!

Now is the time for a serious Cheshbon Hanefesh for everyone who has even the slightest influence on what is happening in 770. There is no finger pointed at a specific person or institution, but a general call for a Cheshbon Hanefesh that will result in change.

    2. At the same time, there is another Cheshbon Hanefesh that needs to be done: how did the situation come to be that 770 was not expanded for so many years? On the face of it, everyone agrees that there is a need for expansion, this includes the owners of the building on behalf of Aguch and Merkaz L’Inyonei Chinuch on the one hand, and the Gabboim of the Shul on the other. So if everyone agrees on this, why isn’t this happening?

Without going into details, it can be said that the difference of opinion between the parties are not large, and the reason for the lack of action lies more in matters of control and politics, and less in the question of what the Rebbe wants.

Unfortunately, the main reason why 770 was not expanded is because for the last twenty years there has been an endless legal battle, which ties both sides to disagreement, while wasting millions of dollars of the Tziburs money for nothing (and if that is not enough, then in the last years a dispute has been added to this for the control of Merkaz L’inyonei Chinuch, which led to the opening of another Org, and even Merkaz L’inyonei Chinuch and Machne Yisrael are currently in lawsuits over money and control, so that even those who are apparently on the same side are busy with internal quarrels and politics, instead of caring about 770).

It’s time for a Cheshbon Hanefesh. How can it be that thousands of Chabad Houses all over the world are growing and expanding, and precisely Beis Rabeinu Sheb’bovel, our Beis Chayeinu, Beis Moshiach, has not expanded while Chabad has grown more than threefold in the last decades.

    3. Despite this, it seems that unfortunately there are those who are trying to use the difficult and painful events to slander a large group of Chassidim, and thus there are those who jumped at the opportunity to slander all “Mishichistim” with their irresponsible behavior.

Let’s be clear: Those who made the commotion and disruption yesterday (and in general) do not listen to any authority, not from the Rabbonim of the Shchuna, nor the Hanholas Hayeshiva, nor the Gabboim of the Shul. Their actions have nothing to do with Geulah and Moshiach, and it is certain that their actions do not bring the Geulah closer.

The presentation of things as if this were an ideological struggle in which the disturbed are the “Mishichistim”, and those who oppose it are not, has nothing to do with reality, since this destruction has nothing to do with Moshiach, and the denunciation of the things encompasses all Chabad Chassidim, and is shared by every Chosid, whether a “Mishichist” or not.

    4. Finish The Expansion of 770.
