‘Celebration 120’: 15,000+ Unite to Honor the Rebbe MH”M

A seemingly endless crowd of people gathered in front of Beis Chayenu in a beautiful show of unity in the leadup to the Rebbe MH”M’s 120th birthday. Those gathered heard from not only some of Chabad’s finest singers and musicians, but also speakers of the likes of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Rabbi Moshe Moscowitz, and Rabbi Aharon Ginsberg, who loudly and energetically proclaimed “Yechi Hamelech” at the climax of an emotional plea for the hisgalus of the Rebbe MH”M. A seemingly endless crowd of men, women, and children of all ages gathered in front of Beis Chayenu in a beautiful show of unity in the leadup to the Rebbe MH”M’s 120th birthday.

The event commenced with the proclamation of the 12 pesukim and “Yechi” led by Rabbi Shimon Hecht, Director of Chabad of Park Slope.

An eclectic group of Chabad’s finest singers took the stage to begin the evening’s musical component. Not everyday do Avraham Fried, Benny Friedman, Eli MarcusMendy Jerufi, and Avi Piamenta take the stage together. It was certainly a unique and momentous occasion. It should also be noted that Benny Friedman started his day in Toronto, flying back to New York just in time to make it to this performance.

Following a moving video of the Rebbe MH”M, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky took the stage and cried from the depths of his heart about the length of this golus and spoke about the task that the Rebbe entrusted us with, which is to bring the shechinah down and bring geulah in dor hashvii.

Then came Rabbi Aharon Ginsbeg, Shliach of the Rebbe to Boro Park, who energetically encouraged the tens of thousands present and watching remotely to take upon themselves resolutions to bring Moshiach, finishing his impassioned speech with an emotional “Yechi Hamelech”.

Last night proved that Lubavitchers the world around are able to put aside their differences to come together and give real nachas to the Rebbe MH”M.

Special thanks to the organizers of the powerful event; R’ Yudi Grunberg, R’ Meir Bukchin, R’ Avi Minkowitzb,R’ Mendel Mintz, Rabbi Amos Cohen, and many more.
