Ahead of Tishrei, 770’s Gabbboim have sent notices to those that have discounts on their Tishrei seats to those that receive it each year, and everyone will have to pay the full price.
In a letter, obtained by Chabadinfo, the Gabboim said it is due to “the expenses at “770” are increasing year by year and we are not managing to cover the budget of the shul.” the letter stated, “We will not be able to continue the discount you have received in the past years.”
Full letter:
I am contacting you regarding buying places for the Yomim Noroim 5784.
Since the expenses at “770” are increasing year by year and we are not managing to cover the budget of the shul, we would therefore like to make it clear that starting this year, we will not be able to continue the discount you have received in the past years. If you want to continue buying your seat/s, you must pay the full price.
Therefore, if you are unable and or unwilling to buy the seat/s please inform us as soon as possible at [email protected] so that we can sell the seat to someone else for the full price.
If you wish you may transfer your right to the seat to one of your associates. We appreciate understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
In the name of the Gaboim
Aaron Yosef Vogel
