Yud-Gimmel Iyar: Preparations Underway in Tzfas

As Yud-Gimmel Iyar approaches – the yahrzeit of Reb Yisrael Aryeh Leib, brother of The Rebbe – heightened activity is being seen at the old cemetery in Tzfas, in anticipation of the arrival of thousands of Chassidim.

In recent days, members of Hisachdus HaChassidim Lubavitch, under the leadership of director Rabbi Shimon Yehuda (Shimele) Pizem, have been working with with the Chevra Kadisha of the cemetery to prepare the area for the influx of visitors.

The plaza near the cemetery has been cleaned, arranged, and readied to استقبال the crowds. Adjacent to the kever, a spacious tent has been set up, providing space for farbrengens, learning, rest, and tefillah. Booklets of tefillos and Mishnayos, along with refreshments, have already been placed on site, all in a warm Chassidic atmosphere.

Lighting systems have also been installed to ensure that visitors arriving during the night hours can Daven comfortably and safely.

A series of farbrengens is scheduled over the coming days, with mashpi’im and shluchim:

•Wednesday at 9:30 PM: Farbrengen led by Rabbi Binyomin Gandel

•Thursday at 8:00 PM: Central farbrengen with Rabbi Chaim Hillel Springer and Rabbi Shneur Niazov.

In addition, the central tefillah gathering will take place Thursday at 2:45 PM, with the participation of leading rabbanim and mashpi’im, including Rabbi Meir Wilshansky, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Labkivker, Rabbi Yitzchak Lipsch, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Harel, and Rabbi Shimon Yehuda Pizem.

The Rebbe attributed great importance to this day, once asking, “ביים ברודער איז מען געווען?” a question that continues to resonate among Chassidim.

Each year, the organized Aliya L’kever serves as an expression of deep Hiskashrus.

Chassidim are encouraged to make the journey—individually, with family, or in groups—and join the thousands traveling to Tzfas for this meaningful occasion, in an atmosphere of unity and inspiration.
