The release and repatriation of the victims’ bodies to Israel for burial were facilitated by Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi and the Rebbe’s emissary, Rabbi Moshe Asman, along with the Israeli Consul in Ukraine, Mrs. Kati Nachshon, and the Department for Israelis Abroad at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Elchanan Roth, Commander of ZAKA Unit 360, stated:
“We see it as our duty to uphold the dignity of the deceased, not only in Israel but anywhere in the world.
