In a heartwarming display of giving, widows and orphans from Chesed Menachem Mendel, the educational division of Colel Chabad, gathered at Pantry Packers in Jerusalem for a special pre-Purim chesed initiative. Together, they packed food boxes for struggling families while celebrating in a festive atmosphere.

The event blended joy and generosity, as participants donned costumes, enjoyed holiday activities, and received specially prepared Mishloach Manot. “It was incredibly moving to see the children and mothers so happy,” shared Rabbi Menachem Traxler, director of Pantry Packers.

Colel Chabad, known for its ongoing support of widows and orphans, ensures that these families feel embraced by the community—especially during the holidays. “The joy of giving is at the heart of Purim,” said Rabbi Mendy Bloy, director of Colel Chabad. “This event allowed them to experience that firsthand while helping others in need.”
