The Rebbe Rashab established Toras Emes in Eretz Yisroel 114 years ago, in 5672 (1912), right there in Chevron.
Rabbi Vechter learned a Maamar of the Rebbe Rashab in the very place where the Yeshiva was originally founded.
Today, the site houses Yeshivas Shavei Chevron. In 5741 (1981), The Rebbe instructed Rabbi Moshe Levinger, a leading figure in the movement to strengthen Jewish settlement in Eretz Yisroel, to take ownership of the property to reinforce the Jewish presence in Chevron, saying: “Take our house, just as you took the Avraham Avinu shul.”
