Shocking Attack on a new Chabad Center
A shocking act of vandalism has struck the soon-to-open Chabad Etchalta Center in Afula’s industrial zone. In the dead of night, unknown perpetrators defaced and destroyed the newly erected signs announcing the grand opening, sending shockwaves through the local Jewish community.
Rabbi Amir Halevi, the Rebbe’s Shliach and director of the new center, arrived at the site in the morning, only to be met with a scene of devastation.
“This is not just an attack on property. This is an attack on everything we stand for—love, unity, and kindness,” he declared. “Whoever did this has harmed the Rebbe himself!”
A Direct Attack on Faith?
The vandalism is being seen as a deliberate attempt to undermine Chabad’s presence in the area. But rather than being discouraged, Rabbi Halevi has issued a defiant response.
“If they think this will stop us, they are mistaken. We will open this center even bigger, stronger, and brighter than before!”
A Call to Action
Security footage is being reviewed, and a formal police complaint is being filed. But rabbi Halevi is calling for more than just an investigation:
“If this enrages you, don’t stay silent. Help us build this center and prove that hatred has no place here. Donate, volunteer, spread the word. Darkness is not fought with anger—it is fought with light.”
The Chabad Etchalta Center will rise. The question is—who will stand with it?
The goal of the new branch is to provide spiritual and moral support to business owners, employees, and passersby, granting them access to tefillin, prayers, Torah classes, and various Mitzvos during the workday and daily routine.
This is a significant step that will deepen the connection between the local business community and Chabad, offering a place for spiritual growth in the center of a bustling commercial district.
The new branch joins the existing locations in the city – the downtown branch, the community kitchen, and the central bus station branch, which primarily serves soldiers.
