This Chanukah, hundreds of Israelis—many of them recently discharged soldiers or those currently serving—joined the festivities in Val Thorens. For the fourth consecutive year, the resort was illuminated by the light of Chanukah through the distribution of hundreds of menorah kits and central candle-lighting ceremonies at Club Med Val Thorens. The town glowed with the light of redemption, creating a vibrant holiday atmosphere.
The Rebbe’s call to action for Chanukah campaigns, particularly in France as part of “Ufaratzta France,” was strongly felt. The local security team provided close support throughout the holiday, even ensuring the safety of a vehicle featuring an image of the Rebbe, prominently parked in the heart of the resort.
The Chanukah activities in Val Thorens were organized by yeshiva students Shalom Yehoshua, Shmuel, Binyamin, and David Nagar, representing Chabad of Aix-les-Bains and Val Thorens.
As the Rebbe famously teaches: “A little light dispels much darkness.”
