A letter from Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky of the “Adopt a family – Emergency Fund”, asking for your help for a Shlucha – a mother of several young children in great need.
Dear fellow Anash and Shluchim,
I’ve been approached recently with the heartbreaking case of a Shlucha – a mother of several young children, who has been struggling for a number of months with cancer. The battle she is waging against this illness has completely drained the family of their assets, and has left the family with their primary provider incapacitated.
With their finances wiped out and with very little prospect of income, the family cannot afford the basic necessities of everyday life, and they cannot keep up with any additional medical expenses, which, sadly, are unavoidable.
The “Adopt a family – Emergency Fund” has set itself the goal of raising at least $50,000 for the family with the aim of ensuring that money poses no obstacle to fully acquiring whatever medical help is needed, and that in spite of the overwhelming physical and emotional pain they are undergoing, they can put bread on the table.
With this in mind, I turn to you with the plea to reach out generously and help rescue this Shlucha and her family. Please give as much as possible and enable us to attain our goal of making sure these children don’t go hungry another day and their mother has what it takes to overcome the illness.
Please donate today.
