U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) sent a powerful letter of support for the prayer Vigil held by Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz at Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida in remembrance of the six hostages whose beautiful lives were stolen by Hamas terrorists.

“On behalf of all Floridians, I am honored to join you for the Prayer Vigil in remembrance of the six hostages whose beautiful lives were stolen by Hamas terrorists. This act of murder at the hands of monsters cannot be ignored. During this difficult time, we aim to honor and remember the victims who lives were taken far too soon.

“We also pray for the people of Israel, our Jewish community and the families of these hostages, all of whom feel and live through the trauma of this evil act of barbarism. Even today, innocent Americans and Israelis are still being held captive by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists. We must do everything in our power as Americans to bring them home. I am proud to stand with Israel and the Jewish Community and I thank you for your commitment to uniting people to do the same. In Florida, we are blessed to be home to many vibrant Jewish communities. Florida will continue to shine a light on and condemn antisemitism in all forms, and always stand resolutely with our Jewish communities, friends, and families.
