President Donald Trump released a statement shortly after the strike, describing the operation as a complete military success.

“A short while ago, the United States military carried out precise and massive strikes on the three main nuclear sites of the Iranian regime — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,” said Trump. “Everyone has heard these names for years, as they built this destructive enterprise.”

Trump emphasized the goal of the mission: “Our objective was to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability and neutralize the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism. Tonight, I can tell the world that we succeeded. The facilities have been totally and irreversibly destroyed.”

He issued a stern warning to Tehran: “Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now choose peace. If not, the next strikes will be far larger and far easier.”

Recalling Iran’s decades of hostility, Trump continued: “For forty years, Iran has chanted ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel.’ They’ve killed our soldiers and maimed them with roadside bombs. Many were killed by their general, Qassem Soleimani. I decided long ago that this could not continue — and it will not.”

The former president also expressed deep appreciation to America’s military forces and acknowledged Israel’s cooperation in the strike. “We operated as a team — perhaps like no team ever has before — and together we’ve taken a major step in eliminating this threat to Israel,” he said. “I want to thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Defense Forces for their outstanding work.”

“And above all,” he added, “I salute the great American patriots who flew those remarkable machines tonight, and the entire U.S. military for carrying out a mission the world hasn’t seen in decades. May we soon reach a time when we no longer need to call on them in this way.”

The Pentagon has not yet confirmed the full extent of the damage, but officials indicated that the strike achieved its main objectives.
