Tzfas: Cornerstone Laid for Beis Chana Seminary Dormitory
After decades of seminary students residing in apartments throughout the Chabad neighborhood and surrounding areas, a historic milestone was reached this week. The six-story facility will IY”H provide housing for 350 students, offering them a dedicated and comfortable living space.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Rabbi Mordechai Bistritzky, the city’s chief rabbi, Tzfat Mayor Yossi Kakon, Deputy Mayor Rabbi Shneor Lipsker, Rabbi Yoram Mauda, and the mayor’s chief of staff, Aryeh Niselvitz.
Also present were members of the seminary’s administration, including Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, CEO of the institutions; Rabbi Avi Hadad, deputy CEO; Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Chitrik, seminary director; and Rabbi Elisha Shapira, deputy director.
The event brought together teachers, staff members, dorm mothers, secretaries, counselors, maintenance workers, kitchen staff, local community members, and guests from beyond Tzfat, all celebrating this significant step forward for Beit Chana Seminary.
