During their joint statements, Trump was asked whether Saudi Arabia required the establishment of a Palestinian state as a precondition for normalizing ties with Israel. The president firmly responded, “No.” He emphasized that “everybody is demanding one thing: peace. We want peace. We want people to stop being killed,” while gesturing toward Netanyahu, adding, “And he wants peace also.” Trump praised Netanyahu as the “right leader” for Israel, stating that they shared a strong and enduring friendship.

    Trump’s Gaza Relocation Proposal

One of the most striking moments of the meeting came when Trump elaborated on his controversial proposal for the relocation of Gazans. When asked what alternative locations were available if Jordan and Egypt refused to accept displaced Palestinians, Trump expressed confidence that they would cooperate despite their prior refusals. “I think Jordan and Egypt will. I know they’ve said they’re not going to accept, but I say they will. I think other countries will accept also,” he asserted.

Trump described Gaza as a “demolition site” and questioned its viability as a place for long-term habitation. “If you look at Gaza, there’s hardly a building standing, and the ones that are, are going to collapse,” he said. He suggested that creating “four or five or six areas” with permanent, well-built homes would provide a better future for displaced Gazans. “The only reason they want to go back [to Gaza] is that they don’t have an alternative,” he argued. “I hope we can do something where they wouldn’t want to go back.”
