Talmidim of Tomchei Temimim Queens, who are temporarily located in Crown Heights, participated in an impressive event of strengthening Mivtza Torah, which takes place at the Yeshiva in connection with Yom HaBahir Yud Alef Nissan, the birthday of the Rebbe.
The honorable event was opened by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Mandy Sharf, who reviewed the Mivtza, and encouraged the Talmidim to continue to persevere in their studies, thus giving much Nachas to the Rebbe.
Then the Mara D’Asra and member of the Crown Heights Badatz, Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, spoke. He emphasized the importance of learning Torah in general, and for the Temimim in particular, that this is the thing that should be at the forefront of their minds, as our Rabbeim wanted.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Asher Vaknin, Shliach and rabbi of the Bukhari community in Queens. He spoke about the great influence the Talmidim had on the Yidden living in Queens.
The Menahel of the Yeshiva, Rabbi Menachem Mandel HaCohen Handel, spoke and encouraged the young Talmidim to continue to invest in learning, both Niglah and Chasidus, as befits for Tomchei Temimim.
The last of the speakers, the director of the Mivtza at the Yeshiva, Rabbi Mann, presented the Talmidim with the details of the Mivtza, including the prizes for the Talmidim who successfully meet all the requirements.
