Thousands Celebrate at Central Simchas Beis HaShoeva in Jerusalem

The traditional Simchas Beis HaShoeva celebration, organized for more than 30 years by Tzeirei Agudas Chabad of Jerusalem, opened the Sukkos celebrations in Jerusalem last night. The event was held on a larger and more elaborate scale this year, drawing thousands of residents from Jerusalem and beyond, from across the spectrum of Jewish communities, who filled the Chabad neighborhood plaza and danced together in an atmosphere of pure Chassidic joy.
The evening featured Chassidic singer Mendy Weisel, accompanied by keyboardist Elimelech Weisberg and his orchestra. Rabbi Aharon Sitbon performed moving Niggunim, while internationally renowned Chazzan Rabbi Dovid Zeitig performed special Chazzanus. Twelve children also recited the Yud-Beis Pesukim and Maamarei Chazal, joined by the crowd.
The celebration continued late into the night, including a spectacular fire performance by Daniel Elmalich, reminiscent of the torches that illuminated Jerusalem during Simchas Beis HaShoeva in the times of the Beis HaMikdash. The event was led by Rabbi Naftali Hakohen Roth, with production overseen by Rabbi Noam Roth, CEO of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad of Jerusalem.
