As Lubavitcher Chassidim, we strive to share the joy and warmth of the holiday with others, as inspired and encouraged by the Rebbe—especially on Purim. When we meet other Jews in the Purim spirit, we have a unique opportunity to connect with them about Judaism like never before!
Lamternshtik has been working tirelessly to create this opportunity for Crown Heights families. We’ve mapped out dozens of routes, each with about 20 Jewish homes, and pre-packed Mishloach Manos and Matonos Laevyonim, all ready to be delivered with respect.
Pick-up location is at the truck parked at the corner of President and Kingston.

DISCLAIMER: You don’t need to have a Megillah or know how to read one to participate in Mivtzoim on Purim. (For those who have one and can read, that’s great!) The Rebbe explained that the easiest things in life are often the most vital, like breathing and eating. These require minimal effort but are essential to life. The same applies to mitzvos. Those that are simple and take less effort are the most vital, which is why the Rebbe emphasized that the main mitzvos of Purim are Mishloach Manos and Matonos Laevyonim, rather than reading the Megillah.
