The Small Act of a Kindergarten Teacher Leads to a Life-Changing Journey for a Young Boy
Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Doron, Shliach in Petah Tikva, recently shared an inspiring story about a non-religious boy who, at the age of 15, made the life-changing decision to study in a Yeshiva • Full Story
The journey began two years ago when a non-religious woman brought her son to the Chabad House in the Neve Dekalim neighborhood of Petach Tikva to prepare for his Bar Mitzvah. This visit marked the beginning of the boy’s growing connection to the community, as he began participating regularly in Chabad activities. After two years, he enrolled in Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva at the age of 14 and a half.
Tragically, the boy’s mother passed away last week after a long illness. During the week of Shiva, he shared with Rabbi Doron a significant revelation: nearly nine years prior, he had spent three formative years in a Chabad kindergarten. This early experience played a crucial role in shaping his spiritual path.
The initial spark came from a dedicated Chabad kindergarten teacher from Elad, who made it her mission to visit families in the neighborhood, gently encouraging them to enroll their children in the local Chabad kindergarten. Her small yet impactful action has had a lasting effect, ultimately helping the boy and his family draw closer to Torah and Mitzvos.
This story serves as a poignant reminder of the profound influence that small actions can have on individuals and their families, demonstrating how one person’s efforts can create a ripple effect that transforms lives.
