Tens of thousands participated in a gathering of Davening and Achdus at the Kosel, the largest since the outbreak of the war. Families of the hostages joined in prayer for their swift return and for the well-being of IDF soldiers and security forces, as well as the recovery of the wounded.

In response to the call of leading Rabbonim, a Davening assembly was held today, Wednesday, on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Shevat, addressing the challenging situation facing Yidden. The Davening was for the well-being of IDF soldiers and security forces, healing of the wounded, and the return of the hostages.

The assembly took place in the presence of chief Rabbis of Israel – Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef and Rabbi David Lau, the rabbi of the Old City of Yerushalayim, Rabbi Avigdor Nebenzahl, the Rabbi of the Kosel and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, as well as numerous Rabbis, Judges, public figures, and the participation of dozens of hostages families and tens of thousands from across the country.

During the Davening, Shofars and trumpets were sounded, chapters of Selichos, Tehilim, the acceptance of “Ol Malthus Shamayim”, and special prayers for the well-being of IDF soldiers, the recovery of the wounded, and the return of the hostages were recited. Representatives of the hostages families took part in the recitation of Tehillim.

Rabbi of the Kosel and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz: “We stand here on the eve of the month of Shevat to cry out the pain, the anguish, and the hope. Save Your people and bless Your inheritance. We stand here united. There are no tribes here. There are no camps. We have learned our lesson. We stand in prayer before You as one person. May it be Your will to renew this month for us for good and for Brochos, a month of redemption for the captives, a month of victory over the cruel enemy, a month of good news, Ge’ula, and comfort.”
