Three Israelis were wounded on Sunday when an Arab terrorist rammed into a group of Border Police officers near the village of Beit Ummar in the Gush Etzion area south of Jerusalem.
The victims are reportedly all in light condition.
The terrorist responsible for the attack was shot and neutralized by Israeli forces at the scene. He later died of his injuries.
All three of the wounded Border Police officers were treated at the scene by army paramedics and MDA emergency responders. They were subsequently evacuated to a local hospital.
The attack comes following last night’s attempted shooting at Ruthie Gillis, whose husband, Dr. Shmuel Gillis, was murdered on the same road in 2001 as she drove on the road from Karmei Tzur to Jerusalem Saturday night.
Recently, a five-year old child was wounded by Arab stone throwers near Maaleh Amos on the road to Tekoa, a Jewish community in eastern Gush Etzion.
