A new report released by the Binyamin Regional Council documents at least 11 incidents in the area surrounding the Arab village of Al-Mu’eyyer.

The latest incident occurred last week, when two goats were found dead near Metzudat David Farm, reportedly after coming into contact with suspected poison. Across the incidents, sheep, goats, cattle and dogs have been killed or injured.

According to the council, the suspected poison has been distributed in several ways. In some cases, poisoned food—including dates and pita bread—was left in grazing areas. In others, suspected poison was found in water troughs and reservoirs used by livestock.

The incidents appear to follow a troubling pattern. In several cases, trackers reportedly found footprints leading from the affected areas toward nearby Arab communities.

Earlier incidents included the poisoning of water sources at farms in the area, with livestock becoming sick or dying after drinking from contaminated troughs.

The latest incidents have also occurred amid growing tensions around the farms. The Binyamin Regional Council noted that two recent poisoning cases occurred in close proximity to confrontations involving activists and shepherds, prompting calls for authorities to investigate whether there is a connection.

Binyamin Regional Council head and Ayosh Council chairman Israel Gantz warned that the suspected poisoning of livestock and water sources should be treated as a serious security threat.

“If we remain silent while goats are poisoned, we will mourn when Israelis are poisoned,” Gantz warned, calling on security forces to apprehend those responsible before the method is turned against people.

The council is calling for increased security and decisive action as investigators work to determine who is behind the incidents.
