Springfield Chabad Hosts Summer BBQ
Chabad of Springfield, Illinois directed by Rabbi Mendy and Mrs. Sara Turen, hosted a beautiful summer backyard barbecue with over 65 people in attendance. Chabad of Springfield, Illinois directed by Rabbi Mendy and Mrs. Sara Turen, hosted a beautiful summer backyard barbecue with over 65 people in attendance.
The state capital’s Jewish community enjoyed a buffet of kosher hotdogs, hamburgers, and shish kebobs followed by a sweet table of desserts.
Rabbi Turen also addressed the crowd on the significance of the month of Elul, and its connection with the coming of Moshiach. Many Jews had the opportunity to put on Tefillin and hear the Shofar.
