Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz led a normal life as Chabad Emissary, husband and father in Temecula, CA. That all changed after he was diagnosed with ALS. More commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Rabbi Hurwitz has been diagnosed with a particularly cruel form of ALS, known as bulbar onset. While about 75 percent of ALS patients first experience trouble controlling the muscles in the arms and legs, Yitzi is one of 25 percent who first experience what usually comes at the end: trouble speaking, swallowing and controlling their tongue. He can no longer sing alone, so we want to sing with him.
That’s where we need your help. We want to create a music video to celebrate with Yitzi thru the song’s message. Here’s how you can get involved:
