Shluchim Rescued After Harrowing Floods in Bahía Blanca; Urgent Relief Efforts Underway

As rescue efforts were underway, the truck sent to evacuate them got stuck in the floodwaters for several hours before they finally reached dry land—just in time for Shabbos. Thanks to the incredible support of Chabad Argentina Central, Rabbi Tzvi and Levi & Etti Silverstein, the Freedmans were provided with food and necessities to make it through Shabbos.
But the Crisis Isn’t Over
The streets of Bahía Blanca remain underwater, and the Freedmans’ Chabad House has suffered severe damage. Their food pantry— which provides for dozens of families and elderly individuals each week— has been completely destroyed. Now, they are working tirelessly to assist their community in rebuilding homes, providing food and medical aid, and offering emotional support to those who have lost everything.
How You Can Help
The Freedmans urgently need support to:
Restock essential supplies
Restore their home and Chabad House
Provide aid to the many families who are struggling
This is a critical moment. Your generous donation will help them recover and continue their vital work of bringing hope and relief to their community.
Please keep the Jewish community of Bahía Blanca in your prayers. And if you can, please donate— every contribution makes a difference!
